The Sims FreePlay is Electronic Arts’ real-time mobile life simulation. Players create Sims, build homes, develop SimTown and take part in scheduled quests and events. This Philippine guide links only to EA, Google Play and the Philippine App Store. WP Phone does not host an APK, modified client, unlimited-currency tool or account sale.
Version 117.1.280231 and Philippines availability
Apple Philippines listed version 117.1.280231, released 31 August 2026 UTC, with a 2.6 GB package. Its notes continue the Tale of Knights story with castle building, fantasy activities and a season pass. Google Play Philippines showed an Android update date of 27 August. Both official store routes were reachable during the 15 September review.
Android and iOS can use different build identifiers and staged timing. Live events also follow their own clocks. Install the version offered to the signed-in phone and check the in-game event deadline before using premium currency.
Requirements, storage and connection
Apple requires iOS or iPadOS 15.0 or later. Google Play evaluates Android compatibility for each signed-in device instead of publishing one universal Android version on the public listing. A compatible result in the live Play Store is therefore more reliable than an old third-party specification.
The Apple package is about 2.6 GB. Google Play separately says the Android game needs 1.8 GB of total storage and requires a network connection. Keep extra free space for downloaded content, cache and update unpacking; a phone with exactly the listed amount may still fail during an update.
Install from the verified publisher
- Open Google Play or the Philippine App Store from this page.
- Confirm The Sims FreePlay and Electronic Arts or EA Swiss Sarl.
- On Android, verify package com.ea.games.simsfreeplay_row.
- Review advertising, random-item, privacy and in-app purchase disclosures.
- Keep Play Protect and normal Apple installation safeguards enabled.
Reject a package offering unlimited Simoleons, Life Points, instant quests or a prebuilt town. A modified client can expose the store account or damage local progress. Use the same official store for installation and later updates.
Protect the town before reinstalling
EA’s current mobile-save guidance says unlinked progress may exist only on the device and can be lost after reinstalling, clearing data, a factory reset or a major update. Use the connection options shown by the official game, confirm the intended account and let the current town finish syncing before changing devices.
Record the non-secret Player ID from the bottom of the in-game Settings screen. EA says support needs this ID to locate the account if access is lost. Store the screenshot privately; do not post it in a public comment or send it to an unofficial recovery service.
Performance and update checks
Real-time animations, large lots and background downloads can make older phones warm or memory-constrained. Restart the phone, close demanding apps, keep sufficient storage and let a hot device cool before a long session. Do not use a third-party booster that requests Accessibility, VPN or device-administrator control.
If an update stalls, check the live store, automatic date and time, free storage and Wi-Fi stability. Avoid deleting the game as the first step. Our save-safe update storage guide explains what to remove first.
Purchases and account safety
Optional purchases are billed through the official store. Confirm the active town, store account, Philippine-peso total and item before approving payment. Keep the official receipt for support, but redact payment details before sharing it.
EA support does not need your password, one-time code or payment PIN. Start support from the game’s Settings and Online Support route or the official EA Help page. Ignore social messages promising missing-event rewards or currency after a remote login.
