Candy Crush Friends Saga is King’s character-focused match-three puzzle game with helpers, costumes and modes such as dunking cookies and freeing animals. Version 5.8.0.0 and official identity
Apple’s live Philippines metadata listed version 5.8.0.0, released 14 October 2026 UTC, with improvements and bug fixes. Google Play Philippines showed an Android update date of 13 October 2026. Separate platforms can receive different build numbers or rollout dates.
On Android, confirm package com.king.candycrush4 and developer King. On Apple devices, confirm App Store ID 1225867923 and seller King.com Limited. Candy Crush Saga, Soda, Jelly and Friends are separate apps; do not assume a purchase or booster in one belongs to another.
Requirements and storage
Apple Philippines requires iOS or iPadOS 15.0 or later. Google’s public listing did not state one universal Android minimum during this review, so use the signed-in Play Store compatibility result for the exact phone.
Apple reported a 398,072,832-byte package, about 379.6 MiB. Keep extra internal storage for levels, costumes, local items, cache and temporary update files. If an update will not finish, remove unrelated downloads first; do not clear the game or uninstall until progress is backed up.
Online, offline and full features
King’s official store description says the game can be played online and offline and that full features and cross-device syncing need an internet connection. Treat offline play as a limited state: it cannot fetch an update, reconcile a server copy, complete every social feature or confirm a purchase.
Before a commute, open the current official version on a trusted connection and test the desired level offline. Reconnect before changing devices or making a payment so the profile can synchronize.
Save progress before changing the app
King recommends connecting the game to a King account or Facebook, where supported, before reinstalling. Its help center says connected progress is stored on its servers. On the old device, sign in, complete a level, return to the map and confirm the expected level after a fresh launch.
King also distinguishes progress from local items. Boosters and extra lives can remain only on the device where they were received. A successful level sync therefore does not promise that every booster, event reward or inbox life will appear on another phone.
Purchases and shared phones
The official listings disclose optional paid items. Confirm the active game, profile, item and Philippine-peso total on the Apple or Google confirmation sheet. King says its games use the app stores for in-app purchases and recommends protecting the device against accidental payments.
On a shared phone, check which King or Facebook profile is active before playing or paying. Do not give a seller a password, one-time code, recovery link or remote-control access for discounted Gold Bars, lives or costumes.

- Check the live official store listing and update from the same store.
- Restart the app and phone, then confirm free internal storage.
- Test one stable Wi-Fi connection without a VPN or cache cleaner.
- Verify the saved profile before clearing data or reinstalling.
